The Connect mortgage group, an outsourcing processing company for mortgage brokers, is using digital pen technology from Destiny to convert forms into user-friendly digitised documents.
Brokers can also use a digital pen to complete the fact-find mortgage application form with the client, and dock the pen to a port on their laptop. An automatic router creates an Internet connection and transmits the form as a graphical image to the Connect system.
George Playle, a mortgage broker with Fordyce and Playle in East Grinstead, said: “It’s saving us lots of time, and cutting out all the unnecessary re-keying and copying we had to do before. As well as being much faster it’s more secure too, because there’s no risk of confidential documents getting lost in the post.”
