Mortgage Intelligence (MI) and Mortgage Next are to offer their appointed representatives (ARs) access to the Abbey bank account switcher product range which bundles together a mortgage and current account.
Sally Laker, managing director of Mortgage Intelligence & Mortgage Next, said it was 'delighted' to be one of only an extremely limited distribution channel trialling the innovative product range.
"For Abbey to bring something completely different to the table offers an opportunity for our advisers to expand on their client offerings and access competitive rates in the process. This holistic approach to a client's mortgage and their finances is proving popular with our members and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Abbey to deliver market leading deals."
Adrian Whittaker, director of key accounts at Abbey for Intermediaries, commented: "The trial is going exceptionally well and there does seem to be a strong appetite for the products we are offering. It demonstrates how working with a lender who has a large retail network and that offers a range of competitive products not just in mortgages but across the financial spectrum, can be beneficial to both intermediaries and their clients."
