TrigoldCrystal has launched a mortgage sourcing iPhone application for brokers, enabling intermediaries to research the mortgage market from their mobiles.
TrigoldCrystal said this was the first of several mobile applications which it plans to release across mobile platforms, including BlackBerry and Nokia’s Symbian.
The application has been developed by TrigoldCrystal initially for networks, mortgage clubs and larger brokerages and can be white labelled to carry an organisation’s branding. It can also be tailored to a firm’s specifications while retaining the search element at its core.
The password-protected app allows brokers to search the TrigoldCrystal mortgage database, sort results according to search criteria, view products individually for greater detail and email themselves the product details to follow up later or show clients.
David Aylmer, business development and marketing director at TrigoldCrystal, was unable to confirm his development partners as Mortgage Solutions went to press, but confirmed that this was just the first step in the company’s mobile applications development programme.
Aylmer said: “More and more brokers are using technology, such as iPhones and iPads. It is all good, useful technology and it makes sense to provide our services on these platforms. We have spent 18 months updating our technology in the background, which has enabled us to take our products onto other platforms and we are in the midst of developing further offerings.”
David Sheppard, managing director of Perception Finance, said: “As an application, it is a good and interesting step and could be a very useful tool. However, it is just one part of a bigger picture and should never take away from the primary need for advice based on the client’s needs.”
