Fed up of getting beaten by journalists at British pub games, Trigold head honcho Bill Safran has decided to bow out from the sourcing facilitator, but not before one last throw of the dice at the infamous Trigold ten-pin bowling championship. Unsurprisingly, for a game invented in the States, US born Bill finally managed to trounce most of the guests. Still he leaves Trigold in good hands as new bosses Martin 'Strike King' Colyer and David 'Boomer' Thompson blitzed all bowlers with a ruthless display of power and precision.

It was a good week for sport, with OTR enjoying a dose of Champions League action watching the Arsenal vs. Slavia Prague match with the team at Virgin Money. A slightly late arrival meant we missed the first goal, and prompted Scott Mowbray, head of PR at Virgin, to comment sadly: "We've probably missed the only goal of the game now." Mowbray perked up when the North London club fired home another six goals.

After the adrenalin of Tuesday's match, OTR kicked back with a few glasses of wine on Thursday night. While admittedly, we were free-styling our knowledge at the wine-tasting evening held by Accord, that didn't stop us expressing our love of the booze on offer through the medium of a self-penned rap. Our efforts clearly did not go unrewarded by the organisers as, despite our abject lack of expertise on the subject, we still trotted off the winners, brandishing a bottle of award-winning wine as our prize.

Finally, OTR would like to salute Lansons' Helen Thomson. Having arranged a day of archery and falconry for commercial lender Interbay, Thomson remembered her own, particularly unfortunate, phobia of birds. Apparently they are too "beaky, flappy and wingy" - who knew? However, after a certain amount of encouragement and a quick change of clothes when it was pointed a fur-collared coat could make her lunch for the birds, Helen, trembling, managed to hold a snowy owl. n
